Trusting God in Transition: When Life Doesn't Go As Planned

Friends, have you ever found yourself in a season where everything feels uncertain? The life you expected is shifting, and you're not quite sure what God is doing. Perhaps you’re walking through a transition right now – a change you didn’t plan, a season you didn't choose, or a future you can’t quite see clearly. If you’ve ever wondered how to keep trusting God when life feels unclear, this conversation is going to meet you right where you are.

Today, we're having a really honest, Spirit-led chat with our dear sister, Cecilia Curtis, owner of Ada's Teacup and host of The Heart of Friendship podcast. Cecilia shares her powerful testimony of trusting God through military moves and career shifts, reminding us that even when our plans fall apart, God’s plan is always perfect.

When Life Takes an Unexpected Turn

Cecilia shared a profound season of transition when her husband's military career moved them to Japan. This was not on her radar! She was in her late 20s, finishing grad school, and ready to start her career and family. Suddenly, all those carefully laid plans were upended. She felt a deep frustration, asking, "What about me? In the thick of her frustration and feeling completely lost in Japan, Cecilia received a phone call from her pastor back in Ohio. He wasn't sure why he was calling, but God had put her on his heart. His words were simple yet profound:

"I don't know what you're doing, and I don't know what's happening, but God told me to tell you that you're not forgotten. God still has a plan for you."

That one word of encouragement was a lifeline. It didn't instantly change her circumstances, but it was a seed of hope God used to encourage her when she needed it most. It reminds us of the power of sisterhood and obedience – when God nudges us to reach out, it can be exactly what someone needs to hear.

Growing in Trust Through Testimony

Cecilia honestly admits that her trust in God wasn't always as strong as it is now. Looking back, she recognizes that while she struggled in her younger years, God was faithfully present. Each challenge and breakthrough became a
