We’re Sarah Phillipe and Satin Pelfrey, two best friends — really, more like sisters — brought together by God in a way neither of us could have imagined. This podcast is our table, where we laugh, cry, challenge one another, and hold each other accountable. And now, we’re inviting you to pull up a chair.
In our very first episode, we’re sharing the story behind this podcast: how God brought us together, why our friendship has redefined sisterhood, and our vision for the conversations to come.
A Friendship Only God Could Orchestrate
Our friendship didn’t begin like most. It started when Satin reached out to Sarah for professional support after her explant surgery. What began as a client-practitioner relationship quickly revealed something deeper — shared faith, shared values, and a sense that God was weaving our lives together.
Trust took time. We’d both been hurt in friendships before. But slowly, through honesty, prayer, and vulnerability, God grew a bond stronger than either of us had ever known. What started as professional became personal. What started as cautious became sisterhood.
Unexpected Blessings in the Midst of Loss
At the time God crossed our paths, Satin was walking through an especially vulnerable season: grieving the loss of her parents, navigating health struggles, and uprooting her family. Sarah stepped into her life at just the right moment — not only offering physical healing guidance, but becoming a safe, Spirit-filled friend who embodied God’s faithfulness.
It was an answer to years of prayer on both sides. We had each longed for authentic, godly friendships free from gossip, competition, or comparison. In one another, we found exactly that.
How the Spirit Filled Girl Talk Podcast Was Born
Neither of us had ever wanted to start a podcast. In fact, we had both said we never would. But God had other plans.
Satin first received a vision from the Lord — an overflowing basket of fruit symbolizing her healing journey. In that vision, He revealed a podcast as part of the “fruit” He wanted her to release.
Weeks later, Sarah received a “download” while getting ready one morning—the name Spirit Filled Girl Talk and the conviction that Satin was supposed to be her co-host.
When we realized God had given us each part of the same assignment, our answer was simple: obedience.
Our Mission: Redefining Sisterhood
We’ve both known the pain of shallow, competitive, or gossip-filled friendships. That’s why our mission is clear: to redefine sisterhood through faith-centered, life-giving conversation.
Here’s what you can expect when you join us:

We believe Spirit-filled friendship changes everything. It replaces insecurity with security in Christ, comparison with celebration, and loneliness with true connection.
What’s Coming On Spirit Filled Girl Talk
No topic is off-limits here. We’ll talk about friendship in your 40s, body image, grief, marriage, parenting, surrender, and more. Sometimes we’ll laugh until we cry. Other times, we’ll simply cry and invite God into the broken places. Always, we’ll point back to Jesus.
